Join us for the launch of the new book A Detour Around Infermental, published by Focal Point Gallery, which examines the historical legacy and contemporary relevance of the video archive Infermental, the ‘first international magazine on videocassettes’ initiated by Hungarian Filmmaker Gábor Bódy in 1981.

This publication follows the Focal Point Gallery exhibition ‘Infermental’, which took place in 2010 and formed the first significant presentation of the project in a UK gallery.

The publication will be available for special launch price of £6 on the evening.

A Detour Around Infermental is funded by Arts Council England and Southend Borough Council. The launch event is funded by Eastern Pavilions.
